Wake Forest Headshots
I can’t tell you how different this session was from what I usually photograph, but I LOVED the challenge! Elijah is an actor who has already had some pretty fun roles in a couple different movies and is about to move to Atlanta to really go all in. I did headshots for him a couple years ago, but he wanted some updated ones for his new start. It’s so fun playing even a small role in a new season in someone’s life like this, and it’s not all that different than wedding or newborn photography in that way. But it is a really different style of photography. I’ve done other types of headshots before, for other photographers or business startups like this session, but even then I used different lenses and took photos from a variety of distances. I didn’t take a single horizontal photo during Elijah’s ENTIRE session, because actors need portraits. The other difference is in the variation. The variation isn’t in the distance I am from the subject or the lens I’m using, it’s in the facial expressions. This blog post will probably look visually boring compared to my normal portrait sessions, because that type of variety isn’t the point. I hope you enjoy the differences, and Elijah, I hope these are helpful for you in your new adventures!!
