North Carolina Mountain Wedding

I said it in my first Facebook post from this wedding, but I feel like I should say it again. What a PERFECT place to say I do! The mountains have always made me feel small, but not in a bad way. Actually in a really good way. Sometimes the cares of life seem so big. Busyness gets in the way. The mountains to me are a reminder to slow down and prioritize the most important things. They remind me that the world is so much bigger than me. I think this is the perfect place to get married, because these reminders are SO good for a marriage! How much richer would marriage be if we always remembered these things?

Meredith worked for Cory’s dad when she graduated college, and he thought they would be a good fit so he set them up! They dated long distance for several years before Meredith was able to move to Charlotte last August. They are so sweet together, and even though I didn’t meet them until the wedding day, it’s obvious how much and how well Cory cares for her.

The wedding day was chilly to say the least, but at least it wasn’t raining! Meredith and the bridesmaids especially were troopers during the ceremony and portraits, and the setting was absolutely worth the cold. I LOVE the images from Meredith’s “first look” with her dad. Watching dads react to seeing their daughter about to get married makes my misty-eyed every time! Congratulations you two!!
