What an honor it was to be a part of Laura and Matthew’s wonderful downtown Durham wedding!!! These two are so genuinely sweet and kind, and so were their families and friends. It was a joy to be around them.  I began the day as I always do, warming up with detail photos of the dress and rings. I LOVE all the gorgeous details from this wedding. The soft purple color of the bridesmaids dresses that Laura picked, the intricate detailing on the rings, and her bouquet is just to die for!

I love shooting at First Baptist Church in Durham for a lot of reasons, but one of them is that the gorgeous front porch provides the perfect portrait location rain or (high noon) shine. There was some pretty harsh sun when were doing portraits and you wouldn’t even know. Congratulations to Laura and Matt! I hope your first month of marriage has been bliss! =)
