May Goals

I can’t tell you how wonderful it has been to be shooting regularly again! Every winter I’m SO ready for a break and I really do need it, but by the time spring rolls around, I’m chomping at the bit to be busy again! I might regret saying that in a few weeks when things are crazy, but right now it’s true. Everything is green and it’s finally warm…what more could you ask for?

April was such a busy but productive month. I finally feel like I’m in a good groove with blogging (partly thanks to the handy dandy schedule I made), and I got to shoot with so many wonderful UNC seniors. And I got to go the beach with my husband to celebrate my birthday (personal blog post coming soon!).

To-do:

  • Edit, edit, edit – I was so blessed with so many wonderful UNC grads, but now I have a ton of sessions to edit, plus a couple weddings. I really need to be focused this month to get everything edited, blogged, and delivered quickly.
  • Twitter, Instagram, and Google Plus – I really want to use these tools well, and now that I have the blog working well, I feel like I can really turn my attention to them. In the next month I’d like to build good habits with these.

Done:

  • Get Published – It’s kind of cheating to put this on the done list, because working at submitting weddings and portrait sessions will never really be done, but Elizabeth and Amir’s wedding was featured on the knot last month so I feel like I get to cross something off! Check it out here.
  • Work the Blog – Again, this will be an ongoing thing, but I’ve defined the purpose of the blog and gotten in the habit of blogging regularly and I’m really excited about some of the posts I have coming up!
  • Get Headshots Done – I could not be more excited about the headshots I had done at the beginning of April. I haven’t had time to get them up on all the places I want them on the site yet, but I am so happy with the ones I have put up. Thanks Carolyn Marie Photography! Here are two of my favorites.
