Waaaaaay back in October Katie from Reed Through the Lens Photography took our maternity photos as part of a session trade. We had her family photos schedule for the end of November, but they got rescheduled because of weather. Then they got rescheduled again. And again. And again! On Friday we were finally able to do the session, and y’all, I am in love with the photos! Katie picked the location in Jennings, and it was perfect. It’s actually a funeral home, but you would never know! (I would love to shot there again if any of my Dry Creek or DeRidder peeps want to make the drive!)
The old, white house and big, sprawling trees were absolutely gorgeous. And did Katie not do a perfect job picking out their outfits? The girls looked adorable in their matching jean jackets, and Katie is ROCKING that hat! It was a little chilly the day of our session, but the girls did a great job anyway. They sure had fun playing ring around the rosie, twirling, running in circles around mommy and daddy, and tickling each other in some of the photos.
I always recommend to families to make it a fun day by going out for ice cream or dinner after their photos, and the Reeds did just that! They went to their favorite restaurant as a family after the session, and the girls were so excited. Let’s be honest, it helps kids get through the photos when they have a treat to look forward to!
