Louisiana Country Church Wedding
In a time when so many people post on social media about just about everything, this sweet couple doesn’t really use it. They prefer to be anonymous is this blog post, and I totally get it. Privacy is important and it has changed a whole lot in the last 20 years as things like the Internet, smart phones, and social media have come to dominate our lives. There’s something about a quiet life in your own corner of the world apart from all of that. So in this post we’ll just call them B & J. And their wedding day was so sweet and wonderful!
To say COVID has changed the wedding industry is an understatement. I think it’s helped people realize what you really need to have a wedding and what you don’t. There have been a whole lot more “micro” weddings in the last couple of years. Small groups of family and friends, simple and intimate. This was one of those weddings! The decorations were beautiful, but you could tell that B & J and their marriage was the main event, and I loved that. These small weddings don’t often need the typical 8 hours of photography coverage. So we just had 3 hours together last weekend. But I think when you see the photos you’ll agree that we fit a LOT into that 3 hours. We couldn’t do everything of course, but we got the most important things.
One of my favorite moments was when grandma wanted a photo with all her grandchildren. I think at least 5 of them were 3 and under, and it was CHAOS. But with a 3.5 year old and a 1.5 year old at home, I’m pretty much an expert in chaos, and those are some of my favorite photos from the day. Take a look below! B & J, it was a pleasure to celebrate with you! I’m so glad I could be a part of it. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!!
