Ragley Lifestyle Newborn Photos
It is such a privilege to celebrate the birth of a new baby. After our own journey to parenthood, I do not take it for granted, and I know know what a special time it is for any family. Spending some time with Kyler, Karlee, and baby Clayton was such a joy! Baby boy, you are so loved. Clayton James was named after one of his great-grandfathers and was born on the same day as another. How cool is that? Kyler loves to duck hunt, and that inspired much of the decor in Clayton’s nursery. We used a gorgeous quilt with some ducks on it for the last few photos of the session, and I’m so glad we did!
One of my favorite moments during this session was when we went outside and Mae came to join us. She’s a gorgeous golden retriever, and she is very protective of baby Clayton. She wanted to be a part of the photos and she wouldn’t take no for an answer! I love the ones with her in them.
I tell all new parents to expect the unexpected at their newborn session, and that’s exactly what happened with Clayton. He stayed awake much longer than usual just taking it all in, and then got fussy and wouldn’t fall asleep. When in doubt, a feeing break usually helps, and it did for Clayton too! He was very content and very sleepy for the rest of the session. The key with newborns is to go with the flow! If we’re expecting fussiness and needing to take breaks, it won’t be stressful when it happens. =)
Congratulations on your new addition, Campbell family!!
