Dry Creek Family Photography
We have been meaning to do this session to celebrate ChristaBel’s adoption for over a year! Between COVID and everything the camp has been going through, it just never happened. But here we are, because it’s never too late to celebrate something as wonderful as ChristaBel officially becoming a Burnaman!!
One of the ideas the Burnamans had was to use the fire pit for some candid photos, and I LOVED it. It was a perfect idea for so many reasons, but since Todd is the director of the camp, it was so special to get to include some photos of the whole family with the camp name. I know it’s been such a special place for them as a family as well as for the community they serve.
Also, can I just say that Jessica did a fantastic job picking everyone’s outfits? It’s not easy figuring out what a family of 5 should wear for photos, but they look great! Gracie’s striped shirt is not only adorable, it ties everyone’s outfits together perfectly. If you’re planning family photos and struggling with what to wear, I recommend starting with a pattern like that and picking some colors from that pattern for others to wear as solids.
I’ve really enjoyed the sessions I’ve gotten to do at the camp lately (like the one with Jenna and Jordan). After everything the camp has been through between COVID, the hurricanes, and the White House, it just does my heart good to again celebrate its beauty. I did another session there the same week as this one that will be hitting the blog next week! For that session we shot over by the lake first thing in the morning, and it was magical!
