Fall Garden Wedding
This was my first wedding back after maternity leave and our big move and everything about it was lovely. It was wonderful being back in Chapel Hill, having a hint of fall weather, and working with Ming and Beatrice, who is the definition of quiet sophistication. I knew her when we lived in the same dorm in college, but haven’t been in touch since. It was a joy to see her again and watch her marry the love of her life.
Bea and Ming met each other on a community hike at Occoneechee mountain in Hillsborough. Ming said he tried to talk to other people on the hike, but just kept wondering where that cute redhead was. They started spending time together, then started dating, and when the time came for Ming to propose, he did it at Occoneechee mountain where it all started. How sweet is that?
Ming is an entomologist, who works primarily with bees, and I love how they incorporated that theme throughout their wedding day! Their “guestbook” was a piece of custom honeycomb art that people could attach little notes to. I’ve never seen anything like it! When I found a little bee/honeycomb statue in the garden while looking for portrait locations I knew we had to use it somehow. It was a wonderful day!! Congratulations Bea and Ming =)
