This month has been a lot of fun. Benjamin continues to learn new things everyday (it feels like it anyway), and explore the world around him. Crawling around the house seeing what there is to see is probably his favorite activity! He’s taken several steps while holding onto our hands, and one of my favorite videos this month is of him walking with Stephen. He’s holding a white bear in one hand and keeps dropping it. Every time he stops walking, stoops to pick up the bear, and then keeps going. It’s so cute! And it’s extra special because that bear was his great-grandmother’s at the end of her life. He never got to meet her, so it’s so special to me that he gets to love the same bear she loved! All that is to explain why I decided to include the bear in a few of the photos this month =)

Grandma and Grandpa Estes and Uncle Philip came to visit over Labor Day weekend, and they brought him a little John Deere tractor. He loves it, and once he’s old enough to understand that it’s just like daddy’s he’ll love it even more. He can’t quite use it on his own yet, but he loves to ride and walk with it with our help. I can’t wait for him to learn how to do it on his own!

• This boy loves food! Macaroni and cheese is probably his favorite, but he also loves chicken pot pie, chicken noodle soup, spaghetti, yogurt, and applesauce. He only tolerates a few bites of fruit for the time being, but we’ll keep trying.
• He’s still pulling up on everything and every once in a while will take a few steps while holding on to something to get to something he wants to get to. He’s still more comfortable crawling though.
• I could have sworn he said “mama” earlier this month when we wasn’t feeling well and wanted me to pick him up. A few minutes later Stephen came in the room and it really sounded like he said “dada.” Not sure if those count yet since he hasn’t said them again, but we’ll see!
• He’s starting to enjoy books more and like turning the pages. Though usually he wants to turn the pages faster than I can read them =)
• I haven’t noticed a favorite toy exactly yet, but he gets really excited when he see the little dog stuffed animal that looks just like Sadie.
