Durham Church Wedding
Caleb and Donna have been together for 6 years. They met in school and Donna says she fell for him while working with him as partners on a math problem. In her words, “he was so gentle, patient and incredibly smart that I could not not like him.” She says it took a little while to convince him It took a little while to convince him, but they’ve been together ever since!
Their wedding was delightful. So much of Donna’s family was able to come from China to celebrate with them, and you could just tell how special that was for everyone. In China, 5/20 is a day of love, and I know it meant a lot to Donna’s family that that’s the day they chose for their wedding.
It was a hot day for May, and in the spring, hot days usually come with afternoon rain/storms. The clouds gave us momentary cover to do a few photos outside the church with the roses that we wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise, but as SOON as we got to the arboretum in Chapel Hill it started to rain. Thankfully it wasn’t raining too hard, so between the tree cover and the umbrella we were still able do photos outside, but I think we were all pretty hot and sticky afterwards. That’s okay, though, because all we had left to do after that was party! It really was a wonderful day, and I was so glad to be a part of it. Congratulations, Caleb and Donna!!
