Raleigh Wedding Photographer
I have photographed a lot of weddings, but none have been as emotional and Camille and Max’s day was! From the two of them praying before the ceremony with tears of thankfulness and joy to Max breaking down seeing his bride for the first time to one of the best sister toasts I’ve ever heard. It was an amazing day!!
But lets start at the beginning.Camille and Max met at church, though it took a while for their to actually go out on a date. For their first date Camille convinced Max to go to her favorite mediterranean restaurant. In their words, “He hated the food, and she was too nervous to eat, but somehow it worked out.” I’m so glad it did!!
The weather on their wedding day was just nasty. It was about 45 degrees and rainy. Not heavy rain, but rain nonetheless. As I was exploring the church before starting photography I realized there really was nowhere inside to do portraits. So I headed outside. I thought if I could find somewhere semi-covered, like under a tree, I could convince Camille and Max that outside would be okay. And then I found the tree. The beautiful blossomed tree that gave us the illusion of spring. And then I went and talked to Camille, and you know what she said? “Oh yeah, that’s great. I don’t care if I get wet.” Guys, I LOVE when my couples are up for anything. And I think the photos speak for themselves!! Thanks for taking a risk with me, Camille =D
Camille and Max decided not to do a first look, but they did want to pray together before the ceremony. I usually do this around a door, so my couples can hold hands without seeing each other. I’ve done this several times before, but never with so much emotion. It was a beautiful moment! And the ceremony was just as lovely, full of laughter and tears of joy. And that laughter continued on into the reception, espeically when Camille’s sisters got up to do their toast. They said their family loves Jane Austen, so they prepared their toasts as a series of letters to each other describing Camille and Max’s relationship written in the same style and read with British accents. They went something like this, “My dear sisters, it has come to my attention that Camille has taken up with a gentleman. I hope to make his acquaintance as soon as possible.” What a special way for them to celebrate!! It’s clear how loved you are. Congratulations, friends!!
