Best of Weddings 2017
Some of this is going to sound similar to what I wrote in my “Best of Family & Senior 2017” post last week. But I’m going to say it again because it’s just true: these posts are so hard for me. It’s like pulling teeth trying to muster up the motivation to go through hundreds of photos and pick the best ones. And I’ve never been good at portfolio building. I can’t ever decide to I include too many images and the overall effect isn’t as strong as if I had just made a choice. Can any other indecisive people out there relate? This year I tried to be really disciplined. To only choose the best of the best photos that really showcase my style and what I value: genuine moments between real people. It’s been difficult, but I’m really happy with the finished product. And one of my goals, which I’ll elaborate on in a post later this week, is to keep a running portfolio of sorts for 2018. To put my favorite 5 images for every session and every wedding in one place so this post is just a little easier next year. And it’s easier to update my portfolio in the off-season.
With that I’ll stop talking and let you enjoy some of my favorite images from 2017. Aren’t they pretty? =)
