Another awesome labor day weekend in Black Mountain!! This year we spent a lot of time playing games, including old favorites as well as a new one that Stephen loves called Captain Sonar. Don’t judge it by it’s name…it’s a lot more fun than it sounds! It’s a real-time, team-based version of battle ship, and for a board game, it really gets the adrenaline pumping!

Then Sunday afternoon we went into Black Mountain to play yard games and ultimate frisbee on the town common. It’s such a pretty spot, and we’ve started going there for game every year! Then we went for a short hike and picnic dinner at Craggy Gardens. I love going to Black Mountain, but a lot of my favorite spots on the parkway are pretty far from three. Craggy Gardens is beautiful, and it’s less than an hour! All in all, a great trip, and I can’t wait until next year!
