Durham Country Club Wedding
What a sweet, sweet day! I’ve had the privilege of going to church with Amanda and her family for the past 4 years, and got to know Amanda and Alex in small group last year. They are such kind, servant-hearted people, and it was a blessing to be a part of their wedding day! You might remember that I shot Amanda’s sister’s wedding back in December, and I had a blast working with their sweet family again. Their dad wins the award for the most emotional giving of the bride for the second year in a row!
Amanda and Alex met at church in August of 2015. One of Alex’s childhood friends, Luke, had already met Amanda and told Alex all about her. He asked her out that December but Amanda wasn’t really interested or looking for a relationship and nothing came of it. Yet. In the spring they started doing more things together and church and Amanda started crushing. She was afraid she has missed her chance, but in May Alex asked her out again and they began dating. Alex proposed the next February (2017) on a hike, which was a total surprise to Amanda! In his best man toast, Luke absolutely took credit for getting them together, which made everyone chuckle. Speaking of awesome toasts, though, two of Amanda’s sisters wrote a rap to the tune of the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” theme song and performed it at the reception. It was amazing!!
Amanda and Alex, you have surrounded yourself with some wonderful people who love you so much, and it was wonderful to see. You have so many people praying for you, and we are all excited to see where the Lord takes you. Congratulations, friends!!
