What a fantastic, joy-filled day! It was such an honor to be a part of the joining of two of the kindest families I’ve ever met and to celebrate Victoria and Matt and the way God brought them together. These two were friends for a while before Matt decided to take a risk and ask her out his junior year of college. The timing wasn’t right then, but a year later after bumping into each other here and there, Matt decided to try again. They are (obviously) so glad he did!! They had been dating 6 months before Matt started a new job in Idaho. They dated long distance for the next year, first across the country and then across the Atlantic. On one of his visits home Matt planned Victoria’s perfect day complete with breakfast food, crafts, a downtown Raleigh date, and time with family to he could ask her the big question. She said yes, and now they’re hitched!! I love love stories, and I love that every wedding is just the next chapter of each couple’s love story. Even if I’m just a part of this chapter, I LOVE it!
The wedding itself was perfect from start to finish. Victoria was a vision, and even though it was a bit chilly, the girls looked fantastic in their dresses and stoles. One of the things I loved about their wedding, was that it was absolutely a family affair. Victoria has three sisters and Matt has three brothers and three sisters. All the siblings were in the wedding party, some of them sang during the ceremony, and ALL the family was together immediately after the ceremony hugging and kissing and laughing and crying. It was beautiful to witness. The reception was no different, and in a lot of ways everyone there felt like more family. You can’t ask for a better community to start a marriage from than that! Congratulations, friends!! May God bless your marriage and give you many years of joy together.
And of course, a special thank you to Melissa at Wake Forest Portrait Shoppe for second shooting with me!
