Birthday Beach Trip and Azalea Festival
I needed a break from all the grad shoots so I decided to blog our wonderful trip to the beach last month! I personally think April birthdays are the best because you FINALLY get to go enjoy some nice weather after a long winter and this year was no exception. It was a little rainy, so Stephen and I made an unplanned stop at the aquarium for a little while, but it was super fun! And when we finally got to the beach it didn’t rain anymore and we got to fly the kite, build a sandcastle, read, and look for shells. Looking for shells is one of my favorite things to do at the beach because I always did it with my dad growing up.
After we left the beach, we went to downtown Wilmington for the Azalea festival. There was live music, street vendors and fair food, and it was a blast! We ended up eating dinner at Elijah’s, an old restaurant on the river. We got to eat outside on the porch watching the sunset, and it was glorious! An absolutely perfect birthday. This weekend we’re going camping in Grayson Highlands with a couple of our best friends from college so look for that post coming soon!
