Downtown Raleigh Wedding
Jill and Dom got married on a beautiful november afternoon. Jill started the day getting ready at Primp Salonbar in Raleigh. The ceremony was at Sacred Heart Cathedral in downtown Raleigh (can you say gorgeous!) and the reception was at Cafe Luna just a few blocks away. Everything about their wedding day was perfect. It was so clear how thrilled their family and friends were and the weather could not have been better. As a photographer, light is really important too, and the huge widows lining the street side of Cafe Luna could not have been prettier.
There were so many sweet moments during the day, but especially during the ceremony. Moments when Dom and Jill just looked at each other. Moments when Dom touched Jill’s face tenderly. It was so sweet, I got a little teared up! There was also moments full of laughter like the moment Dom and Jill almost kissed before they were supposed to. And when Dom (who is quite a bit taller) wanted to dance with HIS head on JILL’s shoulder. And when the little 2-year-old boy and girl started dancing with each other.
I think my favorite story from this wedding was the story of Jill and Dom’s first “date” that someone recounted during a toast. I can’t remember all the details, but they met at a coffee shop or restaurant close to Campbell Law school where they both went to school and somehow figured out that they were both law students. They hit it off and Dom asked Jillian if she wanted to study with him sometime. To make her intentions clear, when the time came Jillian showed up without any books. I love that. She already knew and she wasn’t afraid to let him know! Congratulations again you two!!
