Jessica – Bridal Portraits!

Now that Jessica and CJ have tied the knot I can finally share her beautiful bridal portraits! Their wedding last weekend was beautiful too, but you’ll have to wait to see more of those. =) Congratulations Jessica and CJ!!

Originally we had this portrait session scheduled for a Saturday evening in early August. We were both really excited about the location we picked, the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh where I had my wedding reception in June! The weather the week before was gorgeous, but it rained all day and night Friday and Saturday so we decided to reschedule for a Wednesday. The day arrived and this time Jessica was in the chair getting her hair done when it started to rain. And rain it did. After looking at the radar we decided to go ahead with the session and hope and pray that the rain would stop in time for us to do some portraits before dark. It rained hard for most of my drive to the arboretum and I wasn’t optimistic, but just as I was pulling up the clouds passed and the sun shone through. It was glorious. The arboretum was still very wet, so we used shower curtains and towels to protect Jessica’s gorgeous dress. All I have to say is TA-DA! The session was a huge success (not to mention so much fun) and Jessica absolutely glowed. I loved the bright pink umbrella she pulled out at the end! Congratulations Jessica! You are such a beautiful bride. =)
