I know I’m a little late with this blog post, but better late than never! I got to shoot the one with the lovely Courtney of Courtney Potter Weddings. Amy and Jason’s outdoor DIY wedding in June was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony and reception were at Ward’s Hollow in Pittsboro, an adorable little farm in the middle of nowhere. Amy crafted, quilted, and sewed to create one of the most beautiful events I’ve ever attended. She used vintage china and mason jars for place settings with different vases of colorful flowers everywhere. She used wooden crates and old license plates to add to the down home effect. She even hand-made wine-glass charms for each of her guests. There were sunflowers surrounding the gazebo where the ceremony was held and a bluegrass played during the reception. I think the upright bass was Amy’s favorite part of the whole thing.
I LOVED doing couple portraits with these two. They are so in love and the light and location were perfect! I would definitely recommend Ward’s Hollow for anyone looking for an outdoor/folksy/vintage/laid-back wedding, and the owners are great! I hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as I enjoyed taking them! Congratulations Amy and Jason!
