I LOVED photographing the Easterly family/extended family at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens! It wasn’t easy, but it was a blast. Whenever you get this many young kids together on a warm summer night someone’s going to get tired and someone’s going to get itchy and someone’s going to decide they are finished before their parents think they are. Nevertheless, the photos turned out beautiful (that’s what happens when you have beautiful light and a great family, remember?). I got to second-shoot this session with Courtney Potter Weddings, which was great, as always. It’s always interesting though second-shooting on a portrait session because it means no one is ever looking at you. In a portrait. Which is kinda weird, so I focused on capturing the little moments in an around the poses. I’m so happy with the way they all turned out! Especially this sweet moment between a little boy and his mom. Apparently he likes to kiss people though because in another of my favorite photos he’s giving his cousin an adorable kiss on the cheek.
