Dry Creek Family Photographer
What a great first session back! I’ve postponed shooting for the last couple months as the coronavirus situation developed. Even though I shoot exclusively outside, it felt like a good idea to play it safe, especially since we’re expecting Baby Estes #2 in November! This wonderful family got their session at an auction at the beginning of February and have been patiently waiting to do their photos. The timing worked out great though! We got to do the session Mother’s Day weekend, just a few days before sweet Nova turned 6 months old. And it has been such a mild spring here that it was even a little chilly the morning we shot. In May. In Louisiana! Crazy.
But isn’t she just the cutest? She was so interested in the trees and birds it was hard to get her to look at the camera, but I love that about her. So curious and wanting to figure out everything! We sure tired her out though. She did a GREAT job for 95% of the session, and then she got fussy. The second her pacifier went into her mouth her eyes drooped and her whole body relaxed. I love the photos of mom and dad holding her fast asleep at the end! Even though this pandemic has thrown everyone for a loop, you can see the good in it if you look. Nova’s mama is a school teacher, and I know she’s been enjoying the extra time at home with her girl!
