December 2017 Goals

It’s Christmas!!! I love this season, celebrating the birth of our savior with family and friends. The lights, the hot drinks, the Christmas trees….it all makes me so happy! Stephen and I went out of town for Thanksgiving and we got our Christmas tree the second we got back in town. Before we even went home! I have no regrets. =) I’m working on several craft projects right now, which I love. I can’t think of a better evening than the Christmas tree on, the Christmas music playing, a candle, some tea, and a craft project. Perfection. Oh yeah, and I have some photo stuff to do too. I guess I should do that first 😉

To-do:

• Deliver November wedding – I have one last wedding from November that I’m working on, and I plan to finish and deliver it before the end of the week!
• Shoot and edit last weddings of 2017 – I have two more weddings this month to close out the 2017 season. I can’t believe those words are coming out of my mouth!
• Be totally caught up (except 12/22 wedding) on editing before Christmas – I’m spending the week between Christmas and New Years with my family in Kentucky and I do not plan on doing any work. I’ll have to earn it!
• Finish craft projects – Some have to be done before Christmas and some by Christmas, we I’ve got to keep working!

Done:

• Catch up on session editing – I’ve still got one wedding in the editing queue, but that’s the only thing right now! This weekend I’m shooting another wedding and two portrait sessions (weather permitting), so I’ll have more to do again soon.
• Teach Photography Workshop – I loved teaching the photography workshop I did about a month ago. I think the students loved it too, but we went over so much information I’m sure they were feeling a little overwhelmed. One of the best parts was going up to campus and taking photographs of some of my friends and their almost-two-year-old son. He did not disappoint!
• Order Shutterfly projects – Cyber Monday deals turned out to not be as good as I’d hoped, but later in the week they were actually pretty good, so I’ve got some bright orange shutterfly boxes coming my way! Thy actually have some really lovely upgrade options on their photo books, they’re just expensive (hence waiting for the deals).
