Chapel Hill Country Club Wedding

These two have SO much fun! I’ve had the privilege of working with them a few times over the last year, and a some things are always the same: the funny faces, the laughter, and their absolutely obvious love for each other. I always have a blast, and their wedding day was no different!!

Marcus and Taylor got married at the Chapel Hill Country Club. It was supposed to thunderstorm ALL day, but aside from a stray shower in the morning it didn’t! Thankfully the country club has gorgeous porches we could have stayed under if it had been raining, but it was nice to be able to venture out a little bit. Especially for that budding tree photo. I think that might be my favorite photo I’ve taken to date!! It was extremely humid outside (to the point where shirts had to be taken off and blow-dried between portraits and the ceremony), so it was probably for the best that they moved the ceremony inside. I’m thankful that the country club had that option!

Marcus and Taylor met the fall of their sophomore year at UNC when they were paired up to dance during Late Night with Roy. Taylor knew he was special when, in her words, “she sassed him and he sassed right back.” They began dating later that fall and got engaged a couple months after graduating. I’ve loved getting to be a part of celebrating these milestones with them, from graduation, to engagement, to their wedding! Not to mention getting to spend time with their wonderful families!! Their parents and sisters are just as kind as they are, and it is clear that they are all very close. I’ve never heard such heartfelt toasts between family!!

And speaking of families, these two both have other families that I’m so glad I got to take pictures of! With Taylor on the dance team and Marcus playing basketball, they both spent a TON of time with those groups during college, and it was so special to be able to capture those “family” photos as well.

Who knows where life will take them, but one thing is certain: they’ll go far, and they’ll have a fantastic time along the way. Congratulations, Taylor and Marcus!!
