Fall Mini Sessions 2017

This week is the second week of August. But with the clouds and the rain and my “warm rustic woods” candle I’m doing a pretty good job of pretending it’s fall. Summer’s okay, but honestly I don’t love the heat and humidity. And aside from going to beach once, we don’t have a ton of fun summer traditions. But the fall is the beginning of a great 4 months. For me fall kicks off with our annual labor trip to Black Mountain. It’s still pretty warm outside at the beginning of September, but the mountain air is just slightly cooler and I usually want a sweatshirt at night. I start doing lots of fall family and senior sessions,and then there’s the state fair, Thanksgiving, and Stephen’s birthday! And then the best month of all, December. Because, well, Christmas! Can you tell I’m getting excited?

I also particularly love the sessions I do this time of year. It’s primarily families with little ones wanting photos for Christmas cards, and I love seeing how families grow and change over the years. For some families, this will be the fourth year we’ve worked together!! I also work with a lot of high school seniors in the fall, celebrating that milestone with them and their families. Honestly, though, these short sessions work for just about any kind of photos, even just for fun! Have I mentioned that I have the best job?
