Paris Engagement Photography
I studied French beginning in 6th grade and ended up majoring in it, along with photojournalism, in college. I spent a lot of time learning about the history, literature, and culture of the country (some of which I’ve admittedly forgotten). This May I had the opportunity to go on a missions/business trip through my day job to Paris. I had never been to France before or ever had the opportunity to actually use the language skills I had worked so hard to build. I was pretty excited!! I was excited too when I realized that two of my friends who had just gotten engagement were going to be on the trip as well and that I’d have the opportunity to do a Paris engagement session for them. How romantic is that? We started in the Saint-Michel area across the Seine from Notre-Dame. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night, so we explored the small, cobblestone streets until we found a quieter location. We spent about 30 minutes in Saint-Michel before we hopped on the metro and went over to the Eiffel Tower. We spent our time in the Trocadero Gardens across the Seine where there was a great view of the tower and some less crowded green space. Shoutout to Stephen who came with us and carried all of our stuff! The four of us got to eat dinner together at a nearby restaurant as dusk was falling, and watch the Eiffel Tower light up afterward. It was a pretty perfect night! Congratulations Keelan and Meredith!!
