This session was so special to me. I’ve been a Tar Heel since my family moved to North Carolina 12 years ago and I started watching basketball with my dad. That has only become more true since becoming a student in 2009 and graduating in 2013. Every October I put all the basketball games into my calendar, and I read Adam Lucas’ article after each one of those games, win or lose. (Unlike me, he’s a fantastic writer.) I met Stephen at UNC and even when we’re busy, we make time to watch games together. We both agree that this team is our favorite team ever, and we’re so glad we got to watch some of them play for four years.

Needless to say, I was excited to get to meet Taylor and Marcus, but I didn’t expect their session to be so much fun. They are so sweet and goofy together, and so comfortable in front of the camera because they don’t take themselves too seriously. They didn’t bat an eye whenever I asked them to do something silly, which made the session all the better. I felt less like I was working and more like I was spending time with friends! This session was LONG because there were so many other people taking grad pictures, but if they were getting tired, I couldn’t tell. =)

Taylor was on the UNC dance team, and she and Marcus met on the Smith Center court. They wanted to take some pictures there, so we went down to the Dean Dome after the usual grad pictures on North Campus. Unfortunately we couldn’t be on the main court because of construction and department graduation set-ups, but the practice court worked out just fine. =) Taylor is going to grad school at UNC in the fall (yay!), and they’re waiting patiently to find out where Marcus will be. Congratulations you two, and best of luck in your new adventures!!
