Winter Wedding Photographer | Michael + Erin

This wedding was so special to me. My husband’s younger brother Michael is the lucky guy who got hitched, and I was so honored to get to be a part of his and Erin’s wedding. You may have seen Erin’s beautiful bridal photos a couple weeks back, but in case you missed it, you can check it out here. Isn’t she a beautiful bride?? Absolutely glowing. And I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a happier groom. Michael could not stop grinning from the moment he laid eyes on his bride. How sweet is that?

The whole day was wonderful from start to finish. These two got married in Erin’s grandparent’s church in Butner and the reception was at South Granville Country Club not far away. Y’all, I knew Erin was talented, with her homemade soap business and making all the bouquets for her and the bridesmaids, but I didn’t know the half of it. She and her family transformed the country club into a beautiful, rustic, reception venue. I was so impressed! The whole day you could just feel the love and support of Erin and Michael’s family and friends. They are both very close to their families, and I know I am very thankful for that. It’s rare for siblings to grow up and all be close friends, and I love being a part of it. =)

I so enjoyed taking pictures of the girls getting ready. It’s not often that I get to spend time with my sister-in-law, my about-to-be sister-in-law, and a friend from college while I work! I especially enjoyed bringing Michael’s letter and gift over to Erin right before the wedding. Erin is allergic to flowers (hence making all the bouquets), so Michael got a beautiful vase with a lid in order to give Erin some flowers. It was so beautiful and thoughtful. Good job, Michael. =)

Even though Michael and Erin got married on the only day in December that was below 60 degrees (it was 45!), we still got to take plenty of portraits outside. Thanks for not thinking I was crazy, everyone! Also, shoutout to Michelle, one of Erin’s bridesmaids who I’ve known for 11 years, who helped me out with family photos so I could be in some of them. Thank you!!
